To monitor the standards of the higher educational institutions the UGC established the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) as an autonomous body in September 1994. National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore proposes that every accredited institution establish an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) as a post-accreditation quality sustenance measure.
As per the 12th Plan guidelines of the University Grants Commission, an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) is established for planning, guiding, and monitoring post-accreditation Quality Sustenance and Quality Enhancement activities of the college.
IQAC Channelizes and encourages institutions to make efforts for academic excellence by internalizing and institutionalizing quality enhancement. It lays more emphasis on the participation and coordination among the constituents of an institution. Further, IQAC provides an opportunity for an institution to realize its strengths and weakness, along with opportunities and avenues.
With the prime objective of Total Quality Management, IQAC enables the institution to constantly evaluate the performance, growth, and development, and to establish new benchmarks to scale up the excellence in quality education. Hence, our institute, through IQAC is trying to disseminate knowledge to the rural masses by providing a good academic and educational environment. True to our goal, we are working hard to inculcate social and civic responsibilities among the students, as well as to provide a platform for them, to display and utilize the best of their abilities and talent in nation-building. In this endeavor, IQAC plays the role of a “Torch- Bearer”.
